A Destination Wedding in Sayulita, Mexico

We waited so long for this destination wedding in Mexico that it almost felt like it would never happen. Then the months turned to weeks, and weeks turned to days, and suddenly we found the sun on our face in the magical town of Sayulita, Mexico.

We met Andie and Kandace at a wedding early in our careers. After Tom twerked on them on the dance floor, they proclaimed their love for us (the feeling was more than mutual) and they decided then and there that we would document their wedding one day. Fast forward three years, and damn they were right.

If you’ve followed us for awhile, you may know that we fully believe in getting married however the hell you want (it’s sorta our tagline.) Escaping the cold of winter and heading south to Mexico for a one-of-a-kind destination wedding is high on our list of ways to say EF tradition and do things exactly how you want to do them.

Sayulita, Mexico is one of the most perfect places for a destination wedding, and I’ll tell you why.

  • Easy travel- a short flight to Puerto Vallarta followed by an hour drive to this colorful and vibrant city.

  • Everything you need is in walking distance. Or if you book your lodging away from the hustle and bustle like we did, then renting a golf cart will get you where you need to go.

  • Tons of things to do including a variety of restaurants, beach activities, and a super fun nightlife (even though I go to bed by 11pm, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this little town come to life at night).

I could go on and on about my love for Sayulita but I’ll keep some of to myself and thoroughly encourage anyone reading this to take a trip and experience the happiness this place brings.

If you made it this far, it’s possible that a destination wedding has peaked your interest. We barely scratched the surface of this magical little town and if Sayulita (or anywhere in Mexico) is on your bucket list for your wedding, we’re dying to go back.

Let’s make some magic together.
