A last-minute luxury elopement in Joshua Tree

Haley and Nathan reached out to us about 6 weeks prior to their elopement and told us they wanted to elope on their 10-year anniversary and they didn’t care where. They inquired with our elopement planning company, The West Virginia Elopement Collective , with the original plan to elope in West Virginia. Since their date, March 23, 2022, was a non-negotiable, I pitched them the idea of going out west where the temps are warm and the skies are sunny. Lucky for us all, they picked the luxury elopement package in Joshua Tree, and our adventure to California was around the corner.

Our first step in planning their elopement was securing our permits. Normally, the couple would secure permits but since this is a planned-for-you elopement, we took care of everything other than wedding clothes, rings, and travel.

Next, we hired outside vendors. Typically we take care of the picnic, dessert, etc, but the logistics of buying all new items within two days in LA or Palm Springs just seemed like a nightmare, especially our 9-month old baby in tow. So we supporting local business in Joshua Tree was the obvious answer.

We hired Your Boho Bloom to handle the luxury picnic, design, and charcuterie board. 10/10 high recommend working with them if you need an elopement picnic in Southern California. Pinyon Pine Floral Design gave Haley the boho bouquet of her dreams and Fine Art Cookies baked us an all-scratch vanilla bean wedding cake.
